Nice Hotel, Just Not 5-Star

Definitely a case of style over substance. The hotel looked very nice, and while the staff were fine, the service certainly wasn’t premium. Breakfast options were okay, but the bread was stale on a couple of days, and we often waited a long time to be served. Also, many things normally included in a more ‘luxury’ hotel stay were an additional fee. €25 simply to sit in the spa area for an hour seems like a bit of a stretch for instance, as was the hotel taxi transfer from the airport that was €40 for a 4-minute journey. (As in literally 4 minutes.) Overall, our stay wasn’t bad, but it was certainly grossly overpriced, with substandard service for how the hotel bills itself, and we would not recommend staying there.

Decent but could be improved

I thought the hotel looked really aesthetically pleasing and modern and the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The room was also a big plus as it was very spacious and included a double bed as well a hot tub. The spa is very luxury too and the breakfasts are enjoyable. Although we enjoyed our stay, there were a few things that annoyed us as the days went on which is why I have rated it a 3/5. The main thing was every day when the room was cleaned, we had a lot of rubbish lying around such as empty bottles and crisp packets that were just always left and never taken from the room. On top of this, we accidentally smashed a Coke bottle and put the broken glass in a plastic bag and again this was just left and never taken out of the room. Another little annoying thing was that I don’t believe there were enough sun beds. A few times, we would wake up or come back from the town/event and there wouldn’t be any free sun beds meaning we would have to sit on a chair and wait a while for someone to leave, which was a bit annoying. We also had a mini issue that was a bit infuriating which was we went across the road for a Starbucks and brought it back to the pool area and was told we couldn’t drink these, which I thought was a bit strange as we had paid to stay there, so we should be allowed to bring these back. On top of the above, you are next to a busy road so it can get noisy at night and the shower sometimes randomly just stops running in the middle of it in the evening which is is a bit annoying. Overall though it was a decent stay.

Fantastic choice!

Our stay at Asty hotel was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They were even kind enough to manage our reservation for a traditional Greek night and we were seated at the best table. The decoration and atmosphere of the hotel and the rooms were bohemian chic which felt like home, and the location of the hotel being very close to the centre made out trip an amazing experience. The 15-minute complementary massage at the Spa was also incredible. Thank you for everything!

It’s a beautiful hotel with excellent service. The food is delicious . Their restaurant is definitely underrated. We had a delicious meal there. Gorgeous views from the restaurant and from the upper floors. Get the poached eggs for breakfast!

The perfect escape!!

Leading extremely busy lives myself and my partner embarked on a child free short break to Mykonos in search of relaxation. The Asty Hotel and Spa delivered and proved the perfect spot to recover from the hustle and bustle of life in general and Mykonos Town (10 minute walk). The hotel boasts modern luxurious design with interesting art throughout. The space is tranquil, peaceful and relaxed. Staff engaged with us and made us feel very welcome. We visited the spa onsite and had a massage from Maria and Yannis and spent some time in the relaxation area we urge you to do the same!! We left feeling so chilled! Maria was extremely helpful sharing her knowledge about the local area and gems we could visit during our stay which did not disappoint! Breakfast was included in the price of our stay and prepared fresh to order the choice was wide and varied! We ate dinner at the hotel 2 out of 5 nights and the food was delicious. The chef also came to greet us providing insight into the traditional Greek dishes we had ordered. The only thing we would like to change about our experience is for the gym to be open a bit earlier as we like to work out before breakfast and were unable to do so. We would say that Asty Hotel and Spa is reasonably priced in comparison to some of the other luxurious hotels on the island and also offers some distance from the constant bustling vibes of Mykonos Town.
