Asia enjoys sunshine year-round, but understanding the rainy seasons is key for planning your trip.

In Bali, the dry season from April to September is perfect for beach lovers, with temperatures around 28°C. The rainy season lasts from October to March, but October can still be a good time to visit with lower humidity and deals.

In Thailand, the hot and dry weather from November to April is ideal, with temperatures up to 35°C and clear skies. The monsoon season from June to September brings increased humidity and rainfall.

From canopy-covered beaches with almost sparkling waters to sensational gold-coloured temples, Asia offers a wealth of things to see and do.

In the heart of Bali, Ubud offers the perfect retreat for soaking in the breathtaking beauty of the Tegalalang rice fields, immersing yourself in its vibrant artistic market culture, while experiencing the rich flora and fauna of Bali. Among its many attractions, Ubud Sacred Monkey Forest has to be one of our favourites. This 12.5 hectare jungle is located around the village of Pendategal and has been created to safeguard the welfare of over 1260 long-tailed macaques, who are considered sacred by the Balinese people.

In northern Bali, the rustic village of Sekumpul is home to Sekumpul Falls. Nestled within a verdant pistachio forest, these two cascading falls stand tall at 80 m, offering a breathtaking spectacle amid the lush surroundings. Bali's rich cultural heritage is also showcased through its ancient temples, such as Uluwatu, Besakih, and Tanah Lot, which each hold a significant place in Balinese Hindu traditions. Besakih Temple, the most important, largest and holiest temple of Balinese Hinduism, offers insights into the intricate rituals and practices, while Tanah Lot provides a stunning setting for witnessing picturesque sunsets from its rugged coastal cliffs.

In Thailand, a wide range of adventures awaits you, especially in Bangkok, a cultural melting pot with bags of colour, a must-visit for those wanting a taste of Thai culture. Visit the Grand Palace, admire the Wat Phra Kaew temple or take a romantic boat trip on the Chao Phraya River.

In the city of Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can step back in time in the footsteps of King U Thong, who once ruled Siam (former name of Thailand) during the golden age of this once-great city. Explore the ruins of magnificent temples, towering prangs (reliquary structures) and grand palaces.

Fancy visiting a breathtaking bay that even Leonardo DiCaprio couldn't resist? We're not exaggerating. Framed by cliffs covered in lush foliage, its white sands are one of the highlights of any visit to Thailand. Hop aboard a boat from Koh Phi Phi Don to discover the idyllic setting of this iconic bay, immortalised in the film "The Beach" (1999).

For thrill-seekers, Krabi's Hat Tham Phra Nang beach attracts adrenaline junkies. With its turquoise lagoon, guided climbing tours, underwater caves and range of water sports, the excitement is non-stop. And for the more adventurous, the Western Rock offers a unique view of the island of Ko Kai.

Sanur beach is a charming alternative to the hustle and bustle of Bali. Located just outside the sleepy fishing village of Sanur, the beach stretches its vanilla sands for five km, offering serenity and a Piccadilly-like coral cirque. Although this intimate beach offers peace and seclusion, early risers can enjoy the majestic sunrise that illuminates the nude-toned sands.

Welcome to a delicious culinary experience in the Far East. Tropical Bali offers traditional dishes that blend Indonesian with influences from China and India. Nasi Campur Bali is a must - a steamed rice dish served with delicious grilled chicken, satay, tempe, tofu, sambal and bean sprouts. These exciting culinary scenes get even better: don't miss Babi Guling (suckling pig grilled over an open fire), Lawar (minced meat covered in spices), Jimbaran seafood and the many varieties of Sate, or satay. Unique history and traditions have influenced the rich and distinct cultures of Thailand and Bali.
