Amazon Mykonos Resort & Spa

We traveled to Mykonos in October, 2024. We stayed at the Amazon Suites in a Deluxe Suite with Sea View & Infinity Private Pool. I have not reviewed the hotel before now but was compiled to do so, as I enjoyed our experience so much. We arrived on Mykonos on October 4, a bit late in the season. However, the weather was still fantastic, with temperatures in the mid 80s every day. We rented a car from Europcar. A Europcar driver picked us up and took us to the Europcar location. It was the drivers last day of doing this as the season on Mykonos was winding down. After some errors in direction, we arrived at the Amazon Suites, where we checked in and then taken by golf cart to our room. We were delighted with the room, the pool and the view. It was fantastic. We took a walk to the restaurant. It wasn’t too busy and we were seated next to an open window facing the water. The food was great and the waitstaff were awesome. The breakfast in the restaurant was unprecedented! There was a buffet with scrambled eggs or you could get a made to order omelet. There was salad, meats, fruit, breads,…and lots of desserts, and again the wait staff were friendly and helpful. We came to find out the many of the staff were leaving to return to college or go back to their home countries within the next three weeks. On our second day there we booked an activity, a guided day trip to Delos, an island a few miles from Mykonos and a big part of the view from the Amazon. The trip was great. We took a boat with around 70 others to Delos. The sailing took about a half hour. Delos was a very active and rich trading center that at one time had a population of 40,000 people. Around 100 BC the Romans invaded and either killed or enslaved the population. Anyway, it was very interesting with a huge area of Greek historical ruins. The whole island of Delos is and active archology site and a living museum. After the tour we returned to Mykonos. Finally, we toured Italy and Greece starting in early-September and ending the first week in October. Of all of the places we visited and the hotels we stayed in, the Amazon was, by far, my favorite.

One of the most magical hotels ive ever stayed at! I planned to propose to my partner on the trip and Danai and all the staff were so helpful in organising this for me! the hotel itself is truly stunning! The rooms, pool, bar, restaurant and service are all 5*, every member of staff were super polite and helpful! The hotel itself is located perfectly on the island with a sunset every single night! its a 5 min drive to old town so plenty to do! The view from the restaurant is breathtaking! A perfect hotel for a perfect weekend! a must visit!

From the moment I arrived, I could tell that this place was special. Often as a solo traveller, it can feel as if you're less important to staff, but that's not the case here. After arriving via the complimentary airport transfer, I was immediately invited to take a seat outside to enjoy the last of the sunset, with a glass of champagne and some local treats. I was met by the hotel manager (Danai) who was always on hand, providing her mobile number for WhatsApp throughout the stay. She instantly made me feel welcome and was kind enough to upgrade my suite to one with a private heated pool- this made my stay. All staff were excellent the whole time. Costas (concierge) was brilliant with his recommendations, but also so friendly and happy to chat. Spiros at breakfast was superb, with small touches such as remembering what coffee you drink. They are just two who stood out, but they were all fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, with great balcony/ terrace, soft beds and lovely touches such as the espresso machine and pods. Housekeeping was great, and the restaurant was also a real treat. Location is good, with buses nearby to take you into the old town, or a walk down to Ornos where there are some great bakeries and a supermarket. If you don't want to take the bus or want to explore more, the hotel will arrange a rental car or quad bike. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough

Upon arriving at Amazon Mykonos, we were greeted with a glass of champagne on the balcony overlooking the beautiful sea. A staff member named Tania came out with a map and wrote down all the highlights of Mykonos for us. From that point on, we saw Tania everywhere we went in the resort. They have an amazing buffet breakfast and she would seat us by the window so we could have a view each morning. She always greeted us with a smile and was so sweet and helpful throughout our stay. She made sure we had transportation and always helped set it up for us. Everyone at the resort was friendly. We loved our room, the pool, the dining and the staff and would definitely stay there again.

The best hotel we have ever stayed at in our lives, the service is 10/10, the rooms are new, and the food, especially the breakfast, is spectacular. The staff's attention was phenomenal. We felt at home. Tanos and Tania made it truly special. Congratulations!
