I would like to start from the fact that overall the experience was good, sometimes even very good. The staff was extremely nice, the manager too. The resort as a whole looks very good. But let's start with the good, in a structured way. Exceptional: I received a late check out on the day of departure, as a bonus (maybe because I made a complaint - I'll tell you more later) and I also received an eye mask and small gifts from the management. The gardens look great, the whole resort is like something out of a story, the villas are very spacious, the private pool is large and there is also a sound system at the pool, where you can connect with your phone and play whatever music you want. It is very close to the Bali Collection mall (2 minutes walk). I traveled with a couple of friends and asked for 2 villas next to each other. I got what I asked for, and what's more, you could move from one courtyard to another. In the minibar we had free water and soft drinks. THE STAFF IS VERY NICE! THE MANAGER IS A PERSON WHO WANTS TO HELP! Good: The food is decent with an a la carte menu and a few buffet options. I also ate at Maja one evening, at the hotel restaurant, but it didn't impress me (I'll write a separate review). The cleanliness was Ok, with the mention that, for some reason related to the design of the villa and the gardens, it was very difficult not to find cockroaches or lizard excrement in the room, and leaves and dirt in the pool. If you want to go to the beach, you have a shuttle bus that takes you right away. The beach is decently maintained. Less pleasant: The villas are built with a gap of about 5 cm between the roof and the side walls. Also, the glass door between the indoor space and the outdoor shower is not up to the ceiling and there is a gap there. The blinds in the bedroom are the ones with the slats that twist. As such, light enters through all these spaces. In addition, you could hear absolutely everything from outside: motorcycles, cockroaches, birds, the aforementioned empty spaces allowing mosquitoes, cockroaches and geekos, as well as light, to enter the villa unhindered. For those who want a quiet night, in a dark bedroom, these villas are not the right choice. The hotel manager was very nice and offered to give us a villa further from the road, so that we would no longer hear the mopeds. However, the villa does not solve the problem of the noise from the nature and the darkness and on top of that we had to move away from our friends, who had the villa right next to us. So we refused. The beach does not have its own toilet. You have to go to a public toilet in the park. It is not far and it is clean, but... we are talking about 5 stars. The beach area is clean, but the seaweed that gathers on the seashore is not collected. This operation should be done daily. At the restaurant on the beach I ordered a beef sandwich. Unfortunately they didn't have beef and offered me some fried chicken wings. I refused. As I said, there were free soft drinks in the villa's minibar. It wouldn't have been bad to have a beer on the house as well... It wouldn't hurt if the pool water was heated. It was OK for everyone during the day, but towards the evening the girls I was with didn't go in the pool anymore because they said they were cold. Dislike: Some tourists understood that they could use the sound system to the maximum. We had to call the reception to turn the music down. Although cleaning was done daily, when we returned in the evening, we found dead cockroaches on the floor and other remains from living creatures. You are in Bali, you are in the jungle, but we are still talking about a 5-star resort. I lived in a room with some lizards (I also posted pictures). They lived on our ceiling. Luckily we had a four-poster bed and a net. The thing is that these lizards make a lot of noise. One, I assume was very big, because I never saw it (luckily) it made some very strange sounds at night and every time we returned to the villa or turned on the light. I think it "lived" somewhere on the roof of the villa. It probably wanted to mark its territory. Over time we got used to those sounds and it became our pet. Because of the noise and the morning light, we had to sleep with a sleeping mask and earplugs. The villas are a bit outdated. The air conditioning is noisy and I was even left with the keyboard button in my hand. Some of the tiles in the pool were loose, so there is a risk of getting hurt. All in all, it was a pleasant experience, and maybe if the villas weren't hundreds of euros per night, I wouldn't have written such a long review. I think it needs a facelift though...
