Am Samui Palace (SHA+)

Had a great week here. Amazing staff. Two pools, one with lots of sun and one with a little less. They take pride in the landscaping, it is beautiful. Located on a street with lots of great restaurants. The Kitchen and Seventy Fahrenheit were our favorite. Had a broken wheel on one of our suitcases and when I asked for some tape to fix it they called a suitcase repair guy who picked it up and fixed it with return in less than 24 hours. Saved the day. To me they went above and beyond. Didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment on the food but what I did see looked good and prices looked very reasonable. Had laundry done there and was returned within 12 hours at very reasonable prices. Taxi from the pier to the hotel was 1200 baht but they have their own taxi service and return to the pier was only 700 baht. Maybe not 5 star but it sure felt like it. Only thing if you book a deluxe corner suite, First floor looks at a privacy screen and you feel boxes in. Even though they moved us to the second floor it was a view of a roof, but better than the screen. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
