Allegro Cozumel

Staff are all great, the views and drinks are amazing. Diego M and Circe in particular are fantastic, they are so friendly and go out of their way to help you out. Room is clean. The food is so-so. It depends on the day and location. That is the only downside though, everything else about this place is great.

The service and hospitality are absolutely outstanding. Diego M, the waitstaff, and the cleaning staff are so kind and friendly. They really go out of their way to do everything they can to make sure you are entertained and cared for. Yucelmi at the spa was also so fantastic! The resort is very clean and beautiful. The only downside has been the food. The quality varies a lot, but I do appreciate how hard all of the staff work to make sure items on the buffet are stocked.

This may be a little long but needs to be told! We went to the Allegro Cozumel in March 2025. We used priceline to book it Last April 2024 and paid them. So you would assume after 11 months it should be paid right? Wrong! The night we got there we were told that none of the 4 rooms we had booked had been paid for. So we were on the phone for 4 hours trying to straighten it out and get Priceline to send them the money. We were told by the resort the only way we could get our rooms was if we gave them our credit cards so they could put a hold on 2240.00 when we paid 640.00 back in April 2024. The price they were holding was the price they would have charged us if we were to book it that day. They also forgot to have me sign the hold paper so they literally forged my name !! The friend we went with was on the phone everyday almost all day trying to get the rooms paid for, which totally ruined her vacation, which are supposed to be stress free relaxing. Allegro was blaming priceline and priceline was blaming Allegro. Priceline did pay 3 rooms so why not the 4th it was all booked together. We were told when the pending is off your credit card that means all rooms have been paid for, so 2 days before we left the pending came off so all rooms should be paid for! One hour before we were to leave they called and said we could not leave until the room was paid for, so we went down there and our friends were not going to pay for it. So we went across the street to get a taxi and a bunch of security guards were following us, and the manager of Allegro, telling the taxi's they could not give us a ride. So they went back and paid for the room so no one would go to jail or have the cops called. We just wanted to get out of Mexico. So our second half of vacation was going to our friends place in Florida for the next week. Due to all this priceline not paying and the resort charging 2240.00 our friend was on the phone all day trying to figure it out and get her money back, which ruined the second week of our vacation. So, Priceline not paying the resort, and them having to put that money on their card so we could leave everyone's so called relaxing vacation was ruined!! I would think long and hard before you choose PRICELINE or ALLEGRO to book your next vacation, especially if you are wanting stress free relaxation!!! Some people may exaggerate their reviews I swear this one is not! I hope this helps someone to not have to experience what we did!

All of the staff and the beach are amazing and the entire resort is beautiful. The trip price is very reasonable. The food quality isn’t exceptional but for the price it is acceptable.

Booked through Priceline 11 months earlier arrived at hotel and were informed room was ready but could not check in because apparently priceline and its partners did not pay resort. This also happened with our group of three other couples we traveled with. None of our prepaid rooms through priceline were funded to resort according to front desk. None of us could check in until we provided credit card to double pay for rooms. We were in front lobby for 5 hrs on our first night of vacation trying to resolve with desk and priceline on phone. Our hands were tied. Ended up giving card for a so called "hold" so we could get rooms and check in. Eventually mid week one room was taken care of but three were not causing my friends a stressful and nonrelaxing vacation. Sad. Friends ended up daily for hours trying to resolve. Never happened. Final morning before leaving, our friends got a call from desk saying they could not leave until they pay multiple thousands for three rooms they prepaid for 11 months ago and had been fighting all week with priceline. Their was heated arguments and friends were not going to pay twice. Desk called security and authorities upon trying to exit to our taxis. Long story shorter, was either pay or head off to Mexican jail for our friends. They had to pay. Resort blames Priceline, Priceline blames their partner, blame all over or some other scam. Dont use Priceline or Allegro or your vacation could be a disaster.
