My wife and I recently returned from a three-week trip to Greece. Our first stop was in Santorini, where we stayed at Absolute Bliss for four nights. In booking this location, we relied solely on the photos and customer reviews we saw online, so we were cautiously optimistic that the reality of our experience at this hotel would meet the high expectations that were set by our online due diligence. Fortunately, it not only met those high expectations, but exceeded them in many respects (hence, the five-star review here)! Upon arrival, we met Bora in the main office, who greeted us each with a complementary drink as we relaxed on the main balcony. She then arranged for our bags to be taken to our room, showed us around, walked us down to our room, and answered all of our questions. Our room was clean and comfortable and the view of the caldera from our balcony was spectacular. The breakfasts were timely delivered to our room each morning and they were delicious! My wife and I opted to eat on our balcony every morning except one (too windy) so we could enjoy the beautiful view. Bora stands out to me the most because we interacted with her the most, and she was so very friendly and accommodating. She helped to arrange cabs for us on a couple of occasions and also gave us helpful hints and tips during our stay. However, all of the staff, without exception, were extremely nice and helpful. On our last day, I was carrying one of our suitcases up the stairs to get to the main office to check out and one of the staff members saw me from the top of the very tall stairway and ran down to get my suitcase for me. When I thanked him, he said, “Of course! That’s why we’re here . . . to help you!” In addition to the top notch service and accommodations we enjoyed at Absolute Bliss , I would also point out that its location (in Imerovigli) was perfect. There are several restaurants less than a hundred yards from the hotel and we were within easy walking distance to even more restaurants (and shopping) in Firostefani. Also, being in Imerovigli, we avoided the huge cruise ship crowds that congest Oia on a regular basis. My wife and I could not be happier with our decision to pick Absolute Bliss, and would definitely stay there again should our travels take us back to Santorini.
